LINA WITTLER Peacefully on August 9, 2002 at Concordia Hospital, Lina Wittler, predeceased by beloved husband Ernst, died at the age of 90 years. She is survived by daughter Rita and husband Manfred Meissener of Winnipeg; son Heinz and wife Irma Wittler of Calgary; grandchildren, Ingrid (Marty), Mike (Janet), Peter (Cathy) great-grandchildren, Courtney, Geoff, Riley, Ted, Mitchell, Lisa, and Chelsea. Lina is predeceased by brothers, August, Hermann, Heinrich and grandson Andy. Lina was born January 8, 1912 in Delliehausen, Germany and married Ernst Wittler in 1933. She was a loving wife and devoted mother to her two children. In 1953 the family immigrated to Canada where Lina didnt know the language or customs and yet made it her home. She worked full time and raised her children and contributed greatly to the well being of her grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. Her laughter and positive spirit made everybody feel good and will be sadly missed. Funeral service will be held on August 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. If friends desire, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
