JAMES ALBERT DAVIES Peacefully, on Wednesday, August 7, 2002, at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC. Left to cherish his memory are his son Brett, daughter-in-law Sharon, and grandson Mark. He will also be fondly remembered by longtime friend Nina Beveridge and her family; sister Lilian; and brothers, Don (Jan), Bob (Dorothy) and Jack (Bernice) along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Josephine; sisters, Margaret and Dorothy; and brother Ted. He was born on December 5, 1912, in Gloucester, England, and immigrated to Canada with his family at an early age. Fifty years of employment at the T. Eaton Company was only interrupted by work at the cordite factory during the Second World War. He enjoyed many sports in his lifetime, traveling, and being with friends and family. His sense of humour and gentle spirit will be sadly missed. Cremation is taking place and interment will occur at a later date.
