H. LLOYD SHRUPKA After a brief illness, with his family at his side, Lloyds suffering ended, and he passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2002, at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Lloyd was born on January 19, 1952, in Selkirk, MB. He is survived by his children, Michael and Michelle; sisters, Bev Sinclair, Marilyn Taylor and Val (PeeWee) Mostowy; brothers, Jim (Darlene) and Larry Sinclair. He was predeceased by his father Stanley in 1982; mother Rose in 1993; adopted sister Heather; and brothers, Myles and Derek in 2001. Born and raised in Selkirk, Lloyds favourite pastime was taking apart anything mechanical. He often drove his mother crazy by always taking apart appliances that had nothing wrong with them. He also enjoyed working on cars and was always bringing home another old wreck to tinker with. This proved to be an asset when he got older as he could fix anything. Prayers will be held on Monday, August 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m., also in the chapel with Pastor Terry Widrick officiating. A viewing will be held one-half hour prior to service. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in the St. Clements Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Louis Chung, the nurses of 5BU 1,2 and 5 and especially his cousin Buddy, nephew Russ and friend Gordon for their kindness and visits during Lloyds brief illness. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
