GAIL ELIZABETH WALLACE Suddenly and unexpectedly Gail began her last journey on August 6, 2002. Gail was born in Winnipeg on April 29, 1940, of Crawford and Elizabeth Thomson. She graduated from the University of Manitoba and moved with her husband Robert and their two children to Victoria in 1970 where she embarked on her lifelong career of being loved by all. In 1976 she became involved with the Vancouver Island Cooperative Preschool Association at Landsdowne Preschool where she touched the lives of each and every student and parent over a 10-year period. She was proud of her 1990 lifetime VICPA Membership award. Her involvement with Early Childhood Education continued with co-chairing the ECEBC for two years prior to joining the CRD as a licensing officer until her retirement in 1997. Another community interest was the Single Parent Community Centre where she served on the board and Chaired and where she first met her longtime special companion and co-vivant Donald Fraser. Gail had a zest for life that was unmatched. She loved travel. She loved children. She loved people. Her enthusiasm for everything she did was so very infectious. She was loved. A great loss to her brother James Thomson and his wife Karla of Campbell River, BC, and their children. A great loss to her two children, William and his wife Juliet of Hamilton, ON, Pamela Wallace and Neil Stothard and their two sons, Trevor and Adam. A great loss to her love, Donald Fraser, his four children, Scott, Barbara, Margot, Karen and their loved ones; and six grandchildren, Ross, Stuart, Emily, Jordan, Katie and Jessica. A great loss to the many many friends that she gathered along her too short life. We are all going to miss you so much. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10 in Fellowship Baptist Church, 7820 Central Saanich, Sannchton. In lieu of flowers The Single Parent Resource Centre would benefit from your remembrance.
