TANIS DIANE FEDELUK December 7, 1948 - August 9, 2002 Peacefully, with her son at her side, Tanis Fedeluk, aged 53 years, passed away at Riverview Health Centre on August 9, 2002. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Danny and her longtime friend and companion Michael Moslenko. Tanis is also survived by her parents, Norman and Edna Fedeluk; her brothers, Reggie, Randy, Allen and Gary; her sisters, Linda (Eugene) Evaniuk, Judy (Larry) Manko and Lauren; her aunties, Elsie (Paul) Dyzandra, Donna Sharpe; numerous nieces and nephews and many close and dear friends. Born in Winnipeg, Tanis resided in Transcona her entire life. She was employed at the Transcona Legion Branch No. 7 for the last 32 years, where many were fortunate to make her acquaintance. Her special interests included gardening, maintaining her household and she was passionate in her collectables. Tanis had a genuine love for all animals, especially birds, and provided a home to many pets over the years. In her leisure time, Tanis enjoyed bingo, cribbage and "taking her chance" at the casino. Tanis was a strong, caring and extremely generous lady who enjoyed the spirit of giving herself to others. Those closest to her had a special appreciation for her quick wit and sharp sense of humour. Tanis possessed a superior inner strength that truly affected everyone around her. At her humble request, no funeral service is planned. A private family interment will be held on August 13 at the Transcona Cemetery. Following, a memorial lunch hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Transcona Legion Branch No. 7, is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. This gathering is open to all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Winnipeg Humane Society. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff on 3 East at Riverview Health Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
