Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION PAULIN was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and MargaretE GRAHAM Marion Pauline Graham (nee Demchuk) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2002 at the age of 63, after a courageous battle against cancer. Marion Demchuk; brother Peter and sister-in-law Barbara Demchuk; brothers-in-law, Russ Michaluk and Michael Huska; and father-in-law, Weldon Graham. Marion leaves to cherish her memory her husband Stewart, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage; her son Kevin of Thousand Oaks, CA; her daughter Cheryl (Paul) Elliston of Winnipeg, MB; sisters, Anne Michaluk and Vivian Huska of Gilbert Plains, MB; brother John (Doreen) Demchuk of Powell River, BC; sister-in-law Violet Demchuk of Canora, SK; brother-in-law, Eain (Sara) Graham of Victoria, BC; and mother-in-law Dorothy Graham of Wolseley, SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many close friends and acquaintances, all who touched her life in a special way. Marion grew up in rural Manitoba, moving to Winnipeg to work with the TD Bank. After meeting and marrying Stewart, she lived in Winnipeg, Moose Jaw, SK, Thunder Bay, ON and finally Regina, SK. She enjoyed every place she lived and called them home, with wonderful experiences and making many true friends. Marion was a loving, devoted wife and mother, a kind, compassionate person with a ready smile and a mischievous streak. She enjoyed travelling and had seen much of Canada, the USA, and the Caribbean. Her hobbies included golfing, swimming, reading, playing bridge and mahjong, and one of her favourite pastimes was "doing lunch" with her friends. An accomplished cook, she would often prepare favourite recipes for family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and just visiting with people. She will be lovingly remembered for her humour and wit which brought smiles and laughter to everyone she knew. In addition to being a dedicated mother and homemaker, Marion also worked for the TD Bank as a teller. Her friendly smile and pleasant attitude was appreciated by many colleagues and customers. Due to her illness, Marion was on disability for the last number of years, and "officially retired" as of June 30, 2002. Her funeral service will be held in Regina at Knox-Metropolitan United Church, 2340 Victoria Ave. at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14 with Rev. Robert Kitchen officiating. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. The family would like to thank all those friends, Dr. Joan Baldwin, and the doctors and staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre who provided support over the last number of years, with a special thank you to Dr. Clein and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital who so compassionately cared for Marion during her last days.
