DOUGLAS BERNARD OLSON January 25, 1935 - August 10, 2002 Passed into the arms of the Lord at Selkirk General Hospital after a massive stroke. Beloved husband of Dolores (nee Bowen). He also leaves to mourn son Jim (Carmela) daughters, Corinne (Abe), Sherry (Radar) five grandchildren, Tia (Paul), Kimberly (Jeff), Karen, Melissa, and Sara; one great-grandson Cruz. Doug was raised in Charleswood. He lived and worked in Winnipeg most of his life. He retired due to illness and settled in Petersfield and later in Selkirk, MB. He was predeceased by mother Camille; father Bernard; three brothers, Gerald, Johnny, and Lawrie; and sister Eva. He is survived by three sisters, Virgie (Don), Bernice and Joyce. He worked for many years as a foreman at Motor Coach Industries, then for the Attorney Generals office as a Sherriffs Officer. Service will be held at St. Georges Wakefield Anglican Church, Hwy. 9 between Clandeboye and Petersfield, MB, on Wednesday, August 14 at 11:30 a.m. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Rev. Godfrey Mawage officiating. Burial to follow at St. Johns Anglican Church Cemetery. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Selkirk General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society. Rock Fontaine Funeral Director, Winnipeg, in care of arrangements.
