Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHEE WAI TSE (DICK) Peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2002, Shee Wai beloved husband of Elaine (Kwai Yeung) passed away at the age of 68 years after a brief illness at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Shee Wai was predeceased by his mother and father, Gon Heng Tse and Mee Yun Tse; and his sister Teen Yee Seto. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elaine; his children, Norman, Norma, Tobi; his sister Teen Hop Mah, her husband You Jung Mah (Louis) and their family; his sister-in-law Grace Wong and son; brother-in-law Man Chong Kwan, his wife Der Chow Lan and their family, as well as numerous other relatives and friends outside of Manitoba. Born on September 20, 1933 in Hing Hong Lee, Hoi Ping, China, He immigrated to Bruno, SK in November of 1950. He was employed with various restaurants in Bruno as well as Saskatoon, and Regina. In 1963 he continued his career in Winnipegs Eatons, The Charter House, and the Marigold restaurants. In 1971, he established his own business known as the Sunlight Restaurant in the West Kildonan area where its success led to the opening of a second Sunlight Restaurant in the St. James area. Shee Wai retired in June of 2000. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his friends in the Chinese Seniors Club where he participated in many social activities. Shee Wai will always be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his kindness and generosity. Viewing will be held between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, at the Glen Eden chapel with Pastor Luc Tran officiating. Interment will follow in the Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shee Wai may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Manitoba, and/or The Canadian Diabetes Association of Manitoba.
