ANNE WIEBE It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our sister Anne on August 13, 2002 at the age of 66. Anne was predeceased by her parents, David and Susanna; her brother Abe; two sisters, Lynn and Kathy; and her nephew David. She is survived by her five brothers, Dick, John, Ben, David and Jim; and her five sisters, Suzanne, Marge, Kim, Marlene and June; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Anne spent her childhood years growing up in southern Manitoba. After high school graduation and a period of employment, Anne entered her nursing training at the Misericordia Hospital, graduating as a R.N. in 1961. Anne nursed in Winnipeg from 1961 - 1967 and at St. Pauls Hospital in Vancouver from 1967 - 1980. Anne returned to Winnipeg in 1981 and spent the remainder of her nursing career at the Victoria General Hospital until her retirement in 2001. In her earlier years, Anne travelled extensively in Europe and North America. She was an avid reader and music lover and had a large library of books and music. Anne was very proud of her nieces and nephews and their accomplishments and was always very supportive of their endeavours. Anne will sadly be missed by many members of her large family, her friends and co-workers. A memorial service in celebration of Annes life will be held on Friday, August 23, at 2:30 p.m. in the Educational Classrooms, Ground Floor of the Victoria General Hospital, 2340 Pembina Hwy. with Pastor Ron Long officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation Inc. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
