CONNIE COYNE Mrs. Connie Coyne, aged 92, passed away peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre on Friday, August 16, 2002. Connie was born in Nottingham, England, the youngest daughter of George and Charlotte Graves and came to Canada at an early age. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Dennis; daughter Carol; brother Bill and sister Rose. She leaves to mourn her passing a granddaughter Larissa Stewart; nieces, Fern Campbell, Helen Thomas, Joan Switzer; and nephews, Ross Campbell, Gerald and Jim Graves; many cousins and long time friends. Connie worked in Eatons mail order department for ten years. She enjoyed many trips to England, Hawaii, other US and Canadian destinations with Dennis, friends and family members. Connie was a life member of the Eastern Star-St. James Chapter No. 25 as well as the Daughters of the Nile. Some of her fondest memories centered around these organizations, her travels and her childhood in Purves, Oak Lake, MB and Welwyn, SK areas. She loved playing canasta, bridge and cribbage and was an enthusiastic bowler for many years. Her family remembers her as a loving grandmother and caring aunt who enjoyed their company. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff and volunteers of T6 at Deer Lodge Centre for their care and compassion during the past four years, to long time friends who took the time to visit her and to her special circle of friends on T6 with whom she shared a cup of tea every afternoon. Funeral service will be held on August 22 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of ones choice.
