Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN-PAUL (J.P.) BRUNETTE May 18, 1964 - August 12, 2002 J.P. passed away suddenly at his property in Libau, MB at the age of 38 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Helen; his son Christopher and his daughters, Kalie and Sarah; his father Maurice Brunette; sister Diana (Michael) Jones; grandmother Catherine Hunnie; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his loving Mom Patricia. J.P. spent most of his childhood in Libau where he learned to appreciate the great outdoors. He moved to Selkirk where he settled down to raise his family. J.P. was well known in the community and had many friends. His top priority in life was his family, and he worked hard to ensure their happiness. He was well known as a great cook. P.J. was an avid hunter and looked forward to his annual hunting trips. He won numerous Manitoba awards for his hunting skills. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 269 Jemima St., Selkirk, MB with Father Sebastion Gacki officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
