JACK ETKIN Peacefully, on August 13, 2002, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Jack Etkin passed away at the age of 81 years. Jack will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife Simma; his children, Barbara, Shannon, Maureen and Brian; his seven grandchildren; and his many relatives and friends. Jack was an Pilot Officer in the R.A.F. during the Second World War. After the war he worked for CNR Transcona Shops. Jack was greatly respected at work through treating everyone fairly and being a friend to all. Jack was an avid golfer, curler and bowler. Another favourite activity was socializing and nashing with his friends. Jack was deeply involved with his children and grandchildren. Nothing pleased him more than an opportunity to spoil them. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 15 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery on McPhillips Street, approximately one kilometre north of Leila. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
