ARTHUR HODGKINSON November 21, 1916 - August 11, 2002 It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, Arthur on August 11, 2002. Arthur had a life long career with the Municipal Hospitals (Riverview) retiring as the Administrator in 1977. Dad realized his life long dream of designing and building his own home. He also took great pleasure in designing and building various pieces of furniture which he gave with love to friends whom he considered his extended family. Arthur was predeceased by his spouse of 60 years, Gladys Riddell, in 1999. Arthur is survived by his son Douglas (Elizabeth) Hodgkinson; daughter Barbara Jean (David) Oberding; sister Edith Hodgkinson; and brother Fred Hodgkinson; five grandchildren, Rob (Joanne) Oberding, Carrie-Lee Oberding and Leslie-Anne Oberding, Sheila Hodgkinson and Emily Hodgkinson (Jim Psihogios) three great-grandchildren, Tessie Jo, Brooklynn Oberding and Julian Psihogios. A funeral will be held at All Saints Anglican Church in Whytewold on Tuesday, August 20 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Macdonald officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank all of Dads very special friends and neighbours for their kindness and generosity, they meant so much to dad and greatly added to his quality of life.
