GEZA IMRE KOPPANYI December 15, 1941 - August 13, 2002 It is with great sadness that the Koppanyi family announces the passing of Geza Koppanyi. Peacefully with family surrounding him, he went to his Creator. He will be remembered with love by his wife Flora; five daughters, Sheila (Rick), Tracey (Lawrence), Rose (Dion), Cheryl (Mike), Michelle (Trevor) and nine grandchildren, Ricky, Miranda, Jared, Charlene, Lindsay, Jake, Mitchell, Wyatt and Dakota; sister-in-law Nettie Spiers (Hugh) and family Willy, Melissa, Shaun, Ken (Barb), Donna (Derek), Sara and Emily; as well as step-mother Mara Koppanyi; and brothers, Attila and Richard. Dad was predeceased by his mother Maria Kovacs in 1953, and father Geza Victor Koppanyi in 1985. Geza was born in Csor, Hungary and came to Canada in 1956 with his brother Attila and father. He studied dental technology at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba. Geza then worked for Shaw Dental Laboratory for over thirty years before venturing into his own dental laboratory business, where Karo Dental Laboratory was his home. He loved to travel, especially home to Hungary and visited there often. His passion was to be at the lake - gardening, four-wheeling, snow mobile riding and feeding the birds. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Health Sciences Centre emergency and fourth floor, and especially Dr. J. Johnston for all their compassionate care. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 15, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy.
