YVONNE VICTORIA STARK Peacefully on August 13, 2002 at Central Park Lodge in Brandon, Yvonne Victoria Stark, aged 92 years, formerly of Ashern, MB. Yvonne was born June 20, 1910 in Ashern, MB, to parents Alexander and Rosalie Beaudry. In 1935 she married Peter Stark. They homesteaded east of Ashern for six years, Spearhill for five years, then moved to the town of Ashern where they lived for 25 years. During this time Yvonne worked for Paul Kopp at the Cafe, the Ashern Hotel for Rudy Scheske, and at the movie theatre. In 1960 Yvonne moved to Winnipeg where she worked at the St. Regis Hotel until her retirement. She loved to travel and play cards. Her last years were spent in the Sokol Manor and the Central Park Lodge in Brandon, MB. She leaves to mourn daughter Phyllis and son-in-law John Finlayson of Brandon; grand-daughter Colleen and husband Keith Doerksen of Morden, MB, great-grandsons, Andrew and Matthew; granddaughter Sandra of Brandon, great-grandson Evan, great-granddaughter Amy; her lifelong friends, Rose Wege and Laura Henkel; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Peter on January 14, 1999 (also 92 years of age) brothers, Bill, Fred, Max, Clifford, and Louis; and sister Alice. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ashern Legion Hall, with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Boniface Cemetery, 917 Archibald St., Winnipeg.
