ALEXANDER (ALEX) BOITSON Peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 we announce with great sorrow and sadness the passing of Alex, aged 93 years, at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He was born on September 15, 1908 at Pleasant Home, MB. Our Dad and Gigi was a very loving and caring person, and a wonderful family man. He will forever be deeply missed, and his memory will forever live on within our hearts. Dad we will miss those card games with you. Besides his beloved wife Paulina of 64 years who looked after and cared for him for many years, he leaves to cherish his memory his two caring children, Ken (Georgina), Virginia (Wayne) granddaughter Shelley (Jim) two great-grandsons, Garren and Ryan who always had a high five for Gigi until his last days in the hospital; two sisters, Beatrice and Olga; numerous nieces and nephews. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Barbara Boitson; brothers, Alec, Andrew, Metro, Bill, John, Nick and George; sisters, Mary, Doris and Annie. Memorial service will be held on Friday (tonight), August 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. A private family interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. We wish to express our sincere thanks to Dr. L. Chung and 5th floor nursing staff Unit 5, Seven Oaks Hospital for all their loving care and kisses for dad. In lieu of flowers if friends or family so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of ones choice.
