Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL WILLIAM BRADBURY Michael William Bradbury left this world on August 3, 2002 following motorcycle accident in Billings, MT. Mike was born in Regina, SK on February 16, 1955. He spent his earliest years in Minnedosa before moving to Brandon. In Brandon, his natural athletic abilities manifested themselves. He excelled at nearly every sport he undertook, but it was in hockey that his drive, competitive nature, and talents combined to create a very tough and determined player who could score a lot of goals. As a junior, he played with the Brandon Wheat Kings, earning a reputation as a player you didnt mess around with. His professional career included a year with the Philadelphia Firebirds and a few exhibition games with the Atlanta Flames. When Mike entered the business world, he brought with him the same passion for winning that had served him so well as an athlete. He gained considerable recognition as both a car salesman and a banker. In 1989 he opened a restaurant in Osborne Village in Winnipeg. He was extremely proud of Bradburys and was forever extolling the mouth-watering virtues of his Chicken Dracula. In 1992, Mike moved to Kenora, ON. He opened Michaels Restaurant and quickly became well known and easily recognized. His restaurant was a coffee-time favourite and many people frequented it just to sit down and trade a few stories with Mike. It was in Kenora that Mike gave himself over to a new passion - Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He spent as much time as he could either riding his bikes or talking about them. He dearly loved his biker buddies and his yearly trips to Sturgis. Mike felt lucky to be in Kenora and was happy to be able to contribute to the community that had given him so much. He was known as much for his generosity and big smile as he was for his loud bikes and good business sense. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Gerry and Bill; and is survived by his siblings, Lynne, twin brother Marshall, brother Ralph; his wife Tracy and their two sons, Jarrod and Jeremy; and Cathy, her husband Rob and their four children, Ryan, Crystal, Jennifer, and Brandi. Mike is already missed by his family, his close friend Kerry, and by all of those with whom he golfed, dived and rode. The funeral took place in Minnedosa on August 9 and a wonderful memorial service was held in Kenora on August 11. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CAT Scan project in Kenora or to the Special Olympics. Sparrow Funeral Service in care of arrangements.

I lived in Minnedosa from 1961 to 1969. Mike and I played alot of hockey together. The Boch Family moved to Toronto in 1990. Worked day and night to get ahead at Wesco. Have done very well but have not taken the time to smell the roses. Decided tonight to look up some old friends. I was embarrassed and saddened to know my old friend Mike died over 10 years ago. Marshal, I would love to hear from you. - Posted by: Allan J. Boch (An old Minnedosa Friend) on: Feb 20, 2013
