MARY LUBINSKI (nee KOZERA) On August 11, 2002, at the Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, WA, Mary Lubinski, aged 94 years, of Battle Ground, WA and formerly of Winnipeg. Mary was born in Austria on August 5, 1908 and came to Canada in 1913. She lived in Meleb, MB, later moving to Ontario and then to Winnipeg in 1973. She was active in the Catholic Womens League at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, Winnipeg, until 1999 at which time she moved to Washington to reside with her daughter Amy. Mary is survived by daughters, Jenney (Wally) Osse of Lunenburg, VT, Amy (Galen) Sarvinski of Battle Ground, and Cathy Edwards of Winnipeg; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Casper (Rose) Kozera of Sarnia, ON; sister Pauline Kaye of California; sister-in-law Lena Kozera of Fraserwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Max in 1971; and brothers, Bill, Tony, Joe, Frank, Carl, Mike and Peter. Prayers will be said on Friday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 17 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Gimli, with Fr. Art Seaman and Sister Cathy Laviolette officiating. Interment in the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Arnes. Her active pallbearers will be Warren and Wayne Osse; Charles and Philip Edwards; John, Danny and Joey Kozera. Honorary pallbearers will be Gordon Osse, Max Edwards, Walter, John, Ed and Stan Kozera. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mary Mother of the Church Parish, 85 Kirkbridge Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3T 4W5. Mary will always be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
