MABEL GOY Peacefully at home on August 13, 2002, Mabel Goy passed away. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Gordon, in 1998. Mabel will be lov-ingly remembered by her son Gordon (Terry) grandsons, Stefan and Evan; her beloved granddaughters, Donna (Kevin) and Laurie (Vic) grandsons, Tony and J.C.; and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Daniel. She is also survived by her goddaughter Marion (Ron) and daughter Tanya, who were very special to her. Jim and Maureen, who loved her very much, will sadly miss her. She will be fondly remembered by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. Mabel had a great love of children and spent many years as a teachers aide at Principal Sparling School. In later years Mabel enjoyed all her friends at Polo Park Towers and the Metropolitan Kiwanis Centre. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow. Donation in Mabels memory may be made to the Childrens Hospital Research Foundation, 108-671 William Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0Z2. Though you cannot always see the bird singing, If you listen with your heart, you can always hear his song.
