GRACE ELIZABETH HAMILL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grace Elizabeth Hamill (nee Varty) after a very courageous battle with cancer. Grace was born on February 7, 1922 and lived her life to the fullest until Thursday, August 8, 2002, the day the Lord called her home. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband Cliff; her daughter and son-in-law, Val and Bill Blackburn; and her grandchildren, Jon and Julie, all of Surrey, BC; her brother-in-law Jim Brown of Winnipeg, MB; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Bell and Evelyn (Vin) Watson of Langley, BC; her brother-in-law Hugh (Flo) Hamill of Toronto, ON; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, George Varty and William Varty; and her sisters, Olive Varty, Nellie Stevens, Ethel Brown and Doris Lancaster. Those wishing to pay their last respects to Grace may do so at the Guildford Church of The Nazarene, 9012-160th St., Surrey, on Tuesday, August 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The family invites friends to join them at a graveside service which will take place at Valley View Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, August 21 at 12:00 noon. A celebration of Graces life will follow at the Guildford Church of The Nazarene at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Grace Hamill to the Prime-Timers Group at the Guildford Church of The Nazarene.
