MOYNA STEWART DOW Moyna died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital, on Wednesday, August 14, 2002. Moyna was born in Bengal, India, where she spent her early childhood, returning to Aberdeen, Scotland, for her schooling. She came to Canada in 1954 and worked at Hudsons Bay House and its successor for a number of years. She was a life member of the Winnipeg Canoe Club and a member of the Canadian Canoe Association. In 1959, Moyna was a crew member of the Womens War Canoe team which won the Canadian championship. Moyna is survived by family members in England and the USA. There will be no memorial service in accordance with her wishes. We, her relatives, would like to thank her many friends who visited her in hospital and who were of such great help to her in the days before her admission to St. Boniface.
