Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL SINCLAIR (nee STONES) July 8, 1938 - August 15, 2002 Suddenly on August 15, 2002, Hazel passed away. Hazel was born on July 8, 1938 in Walken, Lancashire, England and immigrated with her family to Canada in 1947. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Norah and Edwin; and by sisters, Maureen and Enid. She is survived by her children (and grandchildren), Andrew and June (Joshua, Sara and Catherine), Tracey and Ed Goodman (Jeffery), Shelley and Wes Thiessen, Heather (Katlyn) and by her sister Jennifer Banks (Jim) and brothers, Keith and David. She as a young child, like so many others, experienced the terrible effects of war in Europe and then faced the challenges of life in a new country. Hazel attended Robert H. Smith School and St. Marys Academy and was a member of Jobs Daughters. She was married in 1959 and moved for a short time to Seven Sisters, MB and then returned to Winnipeg, where she has lived since. After her children were grown, she worked for a home care agency, prior to her retirement. She enjoyed very much the support of her children and the times with her grandchildren. She is at peace now and we will miss her dearly. Cremation has taken place and her remains will be placed near those of her parents at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21 at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Flowers are gratefully declined. Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without words, And never stops at all. - Emily Dickinson Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
