CHRISTOPHER (CHRIS) CHARLES ROBINSON With the love and comfort of his family around him, Christopher Charles Robinson aged 53 years, beloved husband of Pat Robinson, passed away at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli on Saturday, August 17, 2002. Chris is survived by his spouse of 33 years, Pat; sons, Chris Jr. and Daniel (Shawna) brothers, Robert (Gloria), Jim (Glenda) sister Delores Derwouin; brother-in-law Sid (Laurie) special God-daughter Audrey Sydney; niece Brenda who held a special place in Chriss heart; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and close friends. He was predeceased by his father George and mother Grace; sister Merle Scherpenisse; brother-in-law Victor, Jimmy and Buddy; sister-in-law Violet, Shirley and Helen; mother-in-law Sarah and father-in-law Clifford. Chris was born and raised in Winnipeg Beach. He met and married Pat in 1969. Living in Winnipeg till 1975 when they moved to Winnipeg Beach where they raised their two sons. Chris drove for the Tribune for many years, later becoming a long haul truck driver. Moving to Lynn Lake in 1985 for five years, Chris enjoyed the hunting and fishing in the area. Along with the comraderie of the many friends he made while there. They moved back to Winnipeg Beach in 1990 where he continued to drive truck. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Johnson Memorial Hospital for the compassion, support and special care. Thank you to Julie, Debbie, Dr. Chapnick, Dr. Prud-Homme and Dr. Maksymuik and CancerCare Manitoba. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Winnipeg Beach United Church with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in the Winnipeg Beach Community Cemetery. Chriss pallbearers will be Richard Sydney, Doug MacDonald, Sid Sandison, Kevin Grace, Gordon Reykdal and Mitch Robinson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, PO Box 2248 Stn Main, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9 or to the charity of ones choice. He was a very wonderful Husband, Father and Father-In-Law. He was my best friend and my rock. We will miss him very, very much. We all loved him with all our hearts.
