WALBURGA (WALLY) EGGERER It is with great sorrow and grief we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and friend on Saturday, August 17, 2002. Wally was born in Germany on January 21, 1922 and came to Winnipeg in 1951 where she resided all her life. She retired at the age of 68 after working at Tru-Art Beauty Salon for over 25 years. Words that describe Wally are strong, smart, independent and loyal. Her creativity was evident in all that she did, from hair styling, decorating her home, designing her garden, crocheting afghans and making her beautiful flower arrangements. She loved her family. Wally was predeceased by her husband Alois in 1958. She will always be remembered and loved by her daughter, Linda Eggerer of Toronto, ON; her son Edwin Eggerer (Sylvia) of Airdrie, AB; granddaughter Jonna Eggerer; granddaughter Devon (Jim) Sawby and great-grandsons, Carter and Davis. The family would like to say "Thank you is not enough" to Diana and Kurt Miller for their unwavering and constant support and friendship during this challenging time. Mom also would have thanked John and Jonnette Heath, Lloyd and Merle Antonation, Wolfgang and Ilona Gerkowski, Bob and Annette Holowka and Peter and Paulette Czehryn. She often expressed how fortunate she was to have them in her life. The world is a better place for your being in it. We miss you so much. The suffering is over. A celebration of Wallys life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish, donations may be made to Winnipeg Humane Society, CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or to a charity of ones choice.
