Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARRIE HUDSON BRIDGEMAN On August 16, 2002, Barrie died suddenly at home at the age of 62. Barrie grew up on a farm near Bradwardine, MB, and resided in Winnipeg all of his adult life. He worked for CNIB Caterplan Services for nearly 30 years and was an active part of the UFCW union. He later took the giant step of becoming an owner-operator of a Chancys Coffeehouse franchise at Logan and McPhillips. Barrie was a caring, generous man. He accepted people as they were. His family was precious to him, particularly his grandsons. He was always there for us all. He will be sadly missed by his wife Ainley; his sons, Wayne (Sandra) and Bradley (Elsie) and grandchildren, Peter, Phillip, and Alan, all of Winnipeg, MB; and also his brothers, sisters, their spouses, and families: Ted Bridgeman; Joy Bomford; Jim (Dorothy) Bridgeman; Myrtle Bomford; Glen (Abbey) Bridgeman; Tom (Jean) Bridgeman; Inez McKenzie; Mildred Goodman; Jack (Bonnie) Bridgeman; Maurice (Irene) Bridgeman; Olive (Gerry) Pelletier; and Muriel (Ken) Briggs. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry Valentine Bridgeman and Margery (Woodland) Bridgeman; his sister Hazel Bridgeman in 1921; and his brother Don Bridgeman in 1984. A service to celebrate Barries life will be held on Thursday, August 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Inter-Organizational Access Committee, in care of Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities, 105 - 500 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3X1.
