PEARL CLARA MacMILLAN (LUKIN) Peacefully, on August 16, 2002 at Vista Park Lodge, Pearl passed away, with her loving daughters at her side. She was predeceased by her husbands, William Lukin and Sam MacMillan and a daughter Isabel. She is survived by daughters, Eileen Smith (Barry), Pat Penziwol (fiancee Maurice Van Den Bussche) son Bob Lukin (Lucy) stepsons, Bruce MacMillan (Heather) and David MacMillan (Deanne) and stepdaughter-in-law Brenda MacMillan; six grandchildren, David and Stephen Lukin, Lois Boulet, Janet Dufrat, Laurie Horvey and Lesley Gulaga; five step-grandchildren, Keith, Grant, Patti, Paula and Kirsty MacMillan; and nine great-grandchildren, Mitch and Danielle Boulet, Rebecca, Erika and Tyler Horvey, Breanne and Matthew Gulaga, and Megan and Jessica Dufrat. Pearl was born in Plumas, MB in 1913 and moved to Glenella after her marriage to William (Willie), where they farmed for 36 years. She was a tireless worker on the farm and in the community, but always found time to surround the farmhouse with beautiful flowers, which she loved. When Pearl and Willie retired to Neepawa, Pearl worked at the East View Lodge. After Willies death, she moved to Winnipeg and worked at the Central Park Lodge Nursing Home for several years. Her kind and loving ways served her well in these positions. Pearl and Sam MacMillan started a new life together after their marriage in 1978. They enjoyed many trips to Hawaii, Mexico, several cruises and many happy years together. Pearl, a member of Rebecca Lodge, was a very generous person and a wonderful cook. She loved company, especially her family, children, puppy dogs and flowers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially daughters Pat and Eileen, her faithful caregivers over the last years. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Vista Park Lodge for all their care and support. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, at 2:00 p.m. in the Glenella United Church. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Chapter, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3J2, (204) 945-9474. We love you, and will miss you Mom!
