SAMUEL ZDRIL Samuel "Sam" Zdril passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2002. He is lovingly survived by his wife Alice; daughter Carol (Larry) Watkins; sons, David, Grant and Roger; grandchildren, Rachel (Gary) Byrd, Laura and Sam; his sister Jean (Olie) Eklund; stepsister Liz (Ken) McCraken and by his two precious pets, Andy and Aggie; as well, other relatives also survive. Sam joined the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps from 1943 to 1946 where he was stationed overseas. He was employed for 26 years with Imperial Oil as a process operator. He wholeheartedly participated in playing KENO, and always looked forward to his weekly card games with his two brothers-in-law, Fred and Gordon Heiland. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba, N-108 North Pavilion, Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3. Safely Home I am home in heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in heaven at last. There is work still waiting for you. So you must not idly stand; Do it now, while life remaineth - You shall rest in Gods own land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come! GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
