WALTER GORAN Walter Goran, aged 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 19, 2002 at home. He is lovingly survived by his wife Rose; daughter Debbie, son-in-law Kevin, his beloved grandchildren, Kyle and Erin; his brother Nick; and sister Jean Chokan; many in-laws, nieces and nephews, as well as close friends who also cherish his memory. Dad was born and raised in Gilbert Plains, MB. He spent many years mink ranching in Dauphin and later on owned and operated hotels in the Interlake and Winnipeg. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent his retirement years in Dauphin tending his garden, hunting, fishing and training horses. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassion, care and support. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral service will take place in the chapel of the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Thursday, August 22 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
