JULIA CHRISTINE SUMNER November 12, 1955 - August 19, 2002 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and niece, Julia Christine Sumner of Fairford, MB, on Monday, August 19, 2002, at the age of 46 years. Julia is survived by her son Trevor Ramage (Jenny Esquash) grandson Tyrell Esquash; brothers, Oscar, Carter, Samuel (Sharon) Sumner, Delmar and Kendall (Angie Joyce) sisters, Bernadette, Harriet, Charlene and Irene (Darryl) Linklater; special aunts, Emma (Edward) Hnasiewich, Gladys (Robert) Moore and Vera (Clifford) Sumner; special friends, Warren Shorting and Casey; also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and all who who knew her. Julia loved and showed her devotion to her family, expressing a lot of love to her son, Trevor and her late grandmother, Elizabeth Thompson. She loved working with her grandmother making mukluks, moccasins, gauntlets, and beadwork, maintaining her native culture. Julia enjoyed herself by laughing and joking with her cousins when she would be home for the holidays and visits. She was a gracious woman and knew God held her future in His hands. Julia was predeceased by her daughter Norma; parents, Joseph and Matilda Sumner; brothers, Clarence and Roy; sister Arlene; uncle George Traverse; grandparents, Angus and Elizabeth Thompson, David and Christine Sumner; and cousins, Annette and Arlene. A wake service will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford, MB, with Pastor Wilfred Bruce and Pastor Donald Gould officiating.
