BEVERLY GORDON BURTON May 14, 1926 - August 21, 2002 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Bev Burton passed away in St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 76. Bev was born in Virden, MB and raised in Brandon, MB. He served in the military in Shilo for 2 1/2 years, for which he was very proud. After which, he began his lifetime career as a butcher with Brandon Packers. In 1961 Bev and his family moved to Winnipeg where he worked at JM Schneiders, ending his career as a Foreman, where he was well respected by his colleagues. He retired at the age of 54 in 1976. Bev enjoyed his retirement years betting at the casinos, far and wide and enjoyed a passion for horse racing and Patsy Cline. Bev loved his pets and he had many throughout his life. Over the years the adventuresome best friends Bev and Lena travelled extensively but found Hawaiian sunsets to be their favourite. Bev is survived by Lena his loving wife and soul mate of 59 years. He was predeceased by both his mother Gladys and his daughter Gladys. His loving family includes one daughter, three sons, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, Della and Allister Duncan, their son Phillip and daughter Tammy (Jeff), their children, Taran and Zariya, Jack and Lynne Burton, their sons, Todd (Christine), Kris (Lisa), their daughter Jennifer, Samuel (Cherie), their daughters, Francine (Kevin), children, Sydney, and Skyler, Lisa (Kelly), son Bram, son Brady, Gary (Melody), their son Sean (Sherry), their children, Natasha and Logan, daughter Shelly (Rob) sister-in-law Helen Mazur and family; many friends and cousins. His family finds solace knowing he is resting peacefully with our Lord. Dear husband, father, grampa and Gigi, we are all "Crazy for You", and we will miss you greatly. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to: EDWARD J.
