KATHLEEN ABBY McRAE (nee McKIBBIN) 1920 - 2002 The family of Kathleen McRae announces with great sadness the leaving of a unique and unforgettable woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Kay died peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on Tuesday, August 20, 2002. Daughter Leslie Barbara Koster (Michael), son Neil Rossiter (Lynn), grandchildren Erin Kathleen and Brodie James McRae, brother Jim McKibbin (Darlene), cousin Vera Swanlund (Bob), brother-in-law Bud McRae (Sheila), sister-in-law Peggy Helem and all the family and friends of Kathleen mourn her passing and wish her peace and godspeed. At this time the family would like to acknowledge the contribution of the wonderful folks of the Health Sciences Centre and the Riverview Health Centre. They have been supportive and helpful and we thank them all. Kathleen would especially want to thank confidante and friend Dr. Pamela Orr, whose strength and thoughtfulness helped her to carry on. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. The service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway (at Furby) on Saturday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Teresa Moyse officiating. The interment will be in Richmond Hill, ON, along side her husband and best friend, James Bernard Rossiter McRae (Jim).
