DAVID WARCABA The family of David Warcaba sadly announce his sudden and untimely passing. David is survived by his sisters, especially Teenie and Graham Low and their family, Rose Mark and her family, Julie and Bill Cameron of British Columbia and their family. Also, several aunts, numerous cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Ann and Nick. Born on the family farm in the Meleb district on March 8, 1936, David lived most of his life in the North End. He was a graduate of St. Johns High School and Success Commercial College. He worked a number of years as a bookkeeper for several companies, including W.H. Escott and Middlechurch Nursing Home, gaining his accountancy designation. David had a love of sports. As a young boy he loved to go fishing with his father and many a window was broken when David practiced hockey, shooting at the back stairs. Whichever sport was discussed, David knew all the pertinent stats. His favourite teams were the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Toronto Blue Jays. David loved to walk, often covering five to ten miles a day, no matter the weather. When he first experienced heart problems, several years ago, it was the loss of his walks which he missed most. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, August 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. (at Collegiate Street), with The Rev. Canon J. Caird officiating. Should friends so desire, donations in Davids memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1858 Portage Avenue 949-4872
