HELEN GULASH Helen was born to Alex and Barbara (nee Nagy) Gulash in Othon, SK May 8, 1908. She was predeceased by her parents; her two brothers and their wives, Alex (Betty) of Regina and Steve (Mary) of Melville, SK and her brother-in-law, Paul Poole of London, ON. She is survived by her sister Margaret Poole of London, ON. Also surviving her are her nieces and nephews, Lorna Fulton (Robert) of Stittsville, ON, Harvey Gulash of Calgary, AB, Lloyd Gulash (Valerie) of Beausejour, MB. and Harvey Poole (Denise) of London, ON. Helen spent her youth on the family farm at McKim, SK. Upon leaving school she worked as a housekeeper in Melville, SK before moving to Winnipeg where she spent her remaining years. For many of these years she was employed in the garment industry. One of Helens pastimes was shopping and window-shopping in downtown Winnipeg and she particularly enjoyed the old Eatons store. Another favorite pastime was going to the airport to watch the planes. In her earlier years she frequently travelled by train to visit family members during Christmas and summer vacation. Her final years were spent as a resident of Central Park Lodge, Winnipeg. She passed away peacefully on August 22, 2002. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Central Park Lodge, 440 Edmonton St. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
