Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryACHILLE "ARCHIE" VERMEULEN It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Archie on August 21, 2002. Archie is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Annie; his only son Archie (Joyce) daughters, Aileen (Leonard) Heppner, Julie Pelletier, Linda (Ken) Mikkelson; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Archie was a quiet and modest man in nature who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was born June 23, 1920 and grew up in St. Boniface working in the dairy industry where he met and married Annie. He later worked at Westeel and North Star Oil for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He and Annie spent their retirement at their cottage, gardening, bird watching, planting beautiful floral areas and taking long walks with their loved dog, Cindy. A memorial service will take place on Monday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society.
