RON BORDEN Suddenly, but peacefully at home, Ron left us all to be with our Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at the age of 64. Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife and soul mate Bev, of 17 years. Also left to mourn, his first wife Charlotte of 34 years and their children, Jerry (Allison), Charmaine, Yvonne (Robert Mitchell), Wayne, and Bob; his six grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Michael, Christopher, Cheyanne and Aaron; his brothers and sisters, Verdena Borden of St. John, NB, Elmer of Toronto, Ivan of New Glasgow, NS, Alford (Ruth) of Toronto, Luther (Louise) of Ottawa, Joan Collins of Toronto and Willena (Mike Lucas) of Victoria; as well as close nephew, Bill (Cindy) of Calgary and numerous relatives and countless friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) and Mary Borden. Ron was born in New Glasgow, NS on November 27, 1937. In 1960, he joined the Canadian Military which took him to many countries around the world, receiving medals and several awards before he retired in Winnipeg in 1987 where he continued to work locally until his final retirement in 2001. Ron was a member of the Charleswood Legion No. 100 for many years and was actively involved with both darts and horseshoe leagues. As well, Ron was an avid bowler in many leagues throughout the city, and lets not forget his passion for golf. He also had a large collection of music which he enjoyed.
