MARJORY SCHOFIELD (BRENNAND) Peacefully on August 22, 2002 with her children at her side, Marjory Schofield passed away at the Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home. Mum will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Beth Harris and her husband Ray; her son Bob Brennand and his wife Susan; her sisters, Helen Wallace and Dorothy Mahaffy; her niece Cathy Treloar; and her nephew Ken Mahaffy. Marjory was predeceased by husbands, Cecil Robert (Bob) Brennand in 1949, Harold Payne in 1957 and Stanley Schofield in 1991. Mum was born on January 25, 1912 in Glenella, MB where her father was teaching school at the time. She moved to Winnipeg in her teens where she met and married Beth and Bobs father in 1934. The next few years were spent at various gold mines in northern Manitoba where her husband worked as an engineer. Mum was very adventurous and a risk taker in her early years but she was also a tower of strength and support for her children when adversity later arose. She moved to Selkirk, MB in 1956 and there enjoyed some of the happiest years of her life. She was active in the local PEO Chapter, the Selkirk United Church and later the Gordon Howard Seniors Centre. She also began a 20 year career with the Federal Government Civil Service. Mum loved to travel and one of her favourite destinations was the Canadian Rockies, which she visited in her teens as a summer employee at Chateau Lake Louise. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Tuxedo Villa Extendicare and to Pat Fox for her devotion to mum in her last years. A memorial service will be held at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave, Aubrey Street entrance on Tuesday, August 27 at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Ian Shaw of Westwood Presbyterian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
