JEAN MAURICE DES ROSIERS Peacefully at the Victoria Hospital, on August 26, 2002, Jean Maurice passed away at the age of 79. Jean was a proud veteran of the Second World War and served as a Wartime Air Gunner in the R.C.A.F. He worked at the Hudson Bay Co. and Industrial Acceptance, then at Air Canada Winnipeg Finance for 24 years. He retired in 1986. He will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Jeanne (Gabe Stragier) and Lucille (Georges Toupin) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Antoinette and Edmond Des Rosiers; brothers, Donat, Emilio and Antonin; sisters, Anne (E. Woods), Rosianne (E. Desrosiers), Fabiola (G. Turcotte) and Aline (R. Desaulniers). Words cannot describe the special care given to our brother by the staff and nurses at Foyer Valade Centre. We would like to give special acknowledgement and gratitude to cousin Rachel Jeanson for all her love and support of Jean over recent years. Thank you all. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., with viewing prior to the service at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, August 30 in the Precieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny St., with Rev. Father Isaie Blanchette, O.M.I., presiding. Service will terminate at the church with cremation to follow. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
