OLGA GABEL August 23, 1910 - August 25, 2002 Peacefully at the Ashern Personal Care Home, Olga Gabel, beloved wife of the late Art Gabel, passed away on August 25, 2002. She is survived by her brother Lawrence (Babe) Geske; and sisters, Martha Spittal, Norma (George) Flemming, and Lorraine Berryman; brother-in-law Tom Harrison; sisters-in-law, Margaret and Elsie Geske; also many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Ida; brothers, Gus, Rudy and Fred Geske; sisters, Lily Schiewe, Wanda Harrison, Lydia Kehler, and Bertha Hoffman; and brothers-in-law, Emil Schiewe, Cliff Spittal, Jack Kehler, and Art Hoffman. In keeping with her wishes, a graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30 at 1:30 p.m. at the Camper Cemetery, with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. Thank you to the Arborg and Ashern Personal Care Homes, doctors and nurses for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, care of Runa Mangl, Box 591, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0 "for use in the palliative care unit", or to a charity of ones choice.
