SOPHIE HANNAH-MROZ August 27, 1923 - August 26, 2002 Passed away after a lengthy illness, at Park Manor Personal Care Home. Sophie is survived by her children, Pat (Wes) Parkes, Barry Hannah (Ann), Kathy Hannah (Bob Rielly), Pamela Vincent, Tim (Sharon) Hannah; grandchildren, Danielle and Matthew Vincent, Kevan and Kelsey Hannah; sister Pearl Wityshyn; brother Bill Florence) Chitz. She was predeceased by her husband Marvin in 1967, brother Alex, and sister Lee. Sophie was born in Polson, MB, grew up in Fairlight, SK, and Rossburn, MB, before moving to Winnipeg. Sophie was employed by the City of Winnipeg until her retirement in 1989. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Park Manor 2nd floor nursing station, for the care and kindness shown to Mom. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. A private family interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
