Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN HARPER (nee NICHOLSON) Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2002 at the McCreary/ Alonsa Health Center at the age of 72 years after a lengthy illness. Besides her husband Allen, she leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Alma Jean (Nelson), Bonny (Kelvin) and Cindy (Doug), their children and grandchildren; her brothers, Ed (Ella) and Eric (Annette) brothers-in-law, Ivan (Evelyn) and Eugene (Iris) sisters-in-law, Myrna (Jim) and Irene (Glen). Born at Belmont, the youngest child of Malcolm and Fanny Nicholson, she came to the Reeve/McCreary District to teach in 1948. There she met and married Allen Harper and lived in the area until her passing. Her creativity and domestic talents combined to make a warm and hospitable home for family and friends alike. She will be missed but remembered with love by those near and dear to her. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m, in the McCreary Community Centre. A viewing is planned for Thursday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Dobchuk Funeral Home, McCreary.
