DARIA LEWICKY (nee KOHUT) 1925 - 2002 Peacefully on Sunday August 25, 2002, Daria Lewicky, beloved wife of Oleh B. Lewicky, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. Daria is survived by her husband of 45 years Oleh; her sister Lydia (Roman) Senkiw of Toronto, ON; younger sister Jurata Kohut of Winnipeg; her sister-in-law Martha Lewycky-Kostiuk; her nieces Anastasia (Alfred) Zariwny of Edmonton, AB; Lydia Lewycky (Tom Horrocks) of Fredericton, NB; grandnieces Larissa and Andrea Zariwny of Edmonton, AB; and nephews George and Mark Senkiw of Toronto, ON. Daria was employed by the T. Eaton Company for 36 years from where she retired in 1984. She had a great talent for painting china, which she loved to do. Her health failed rapidly in the past year. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, at the Riverside Lions Estate (multipurpose room), 188 Worthington Ave. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ukrainian National Federation, 436 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 1B3 or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada, 117-383 Provencher Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R2H OG9.
