LENA SEVIGNY Suddenly, but peacefully, on August 26, 2002, at the age of 86, Lena passed away holding the hands of her daughters. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lucille (Biagio) Bisignano and Linda (Marv Souder) Sevigny; her grandson Chris (Leanne) her great-grandsons, Andrew and Ryan; brother John (Anne) Boychuk; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 1991. Mom was born in Sclater, MB. She was the "superlative" caregiver to her paraplegic husband, Andy, for 45 years, to her daughters and to her grandson. She made many sacrifices to provide her daughters with good educations. She took great pride in their accomplishments. Mom was renowned for her hospitality and her cooking skills (her chocolate cake, borscht, and dill pickles were the best). She took great pride in her home and garden. She loved to be outdoors enjoying the sun. Moms greatest joy was her grandson, Chris. She was so very proud of him. During these past years her great-grandsons Andrew and Ryan were her special loves. She loved to talk about them and would brighten the moment they came into the room. Our family would like to thank the staff of Station 3 at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home for all their kindness and caring. Special thanks to Edna, Kathy, Debbie and Mabel. Thank you also to the staff of 5A South, St. Boniface Hospital, especially Lorraine who helped make her passing so gentle for her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 30 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Pl. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. We love you Mom. You will always be in our hearts! Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
