WILLIAM REGINALD BUCKLEY TROW December 5, 1912 - August 26, 2002 Beloved husband of Bertha and loving father and grandfather of Lesley Trow of Thunder Bay, ON, Rick (Gabriela) Alejandra of Calgary, Alison Trow of White River, ON, Nancy Polhill (Tom) of Thunder Bay, Grant Cowles of Kenora, Megan Cowles of Thunder Bay; also left to cherish his memory are stepchildren and stepgrandchildren, Wendy Watson (Bruce), Erin Mohr (Chris), Courtney Watson (fiance Tim Horch), Winnipeg, Wayne Prentice (Sandy), Colin, Kiera of Nelson, BC, Tom Prentice (Jackie), Matthew, Daniel of Winnipeg. Bill was born in Winnipeg and resided in St. Vital until 1952. His employment involved municipal work in St. Vital and Boissevain, MB. In 1957 he moved to Balmertown, North West Ontario, where he worked as the secretary treasurer until his retirement in December 1980. He also served as a justice of the peace in Balmertown. He served in the Second World War in the Air Force and he was a member of both the Masonic Order and Royal Canadian Legion for over 50 years. Bill was an avid historian and sportsman and will be especially remembered for his detailed storytelling and love of golf. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Leonard and Margaret Trow; sister Nancy McArton; brother-in-law Ernie McMullen; first wife Dolly and second wife Iris. He is survived by his sister Lillah McMullen; brother-in-law Jack McArton; sisters-in-law, Margaret Emek, Grace Wylie, Gladys Oelkers (George) and Mildred Stobart (Bud) as well as nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface Hospital for the wonderful care provided to both Bill and his family. The Trow family were founding members of St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, where the memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 29 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Bob Webster officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, St. Boniface Hospital or St. Mary Magdalene Church elevator fund.
