MARIANTONIA DAMICO It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Mariantonia DAmico on Tuesday, the August 27, 2002 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Her greatest joy was her family. She was predeceased by her husband Tommaso in 2001. She is survived by her sons, Dick (Darlene), Gabriel (Eugenia) daughter Maria; eight grandchildren, Tom (Cindy), Kas (Sandy), Marie (Tim), Joey (Sandy), JoAnne (Ed), Cathy (Steve), Annette (Darin), Cristina (Troy) eleven great-grandchildren; sister Ida DAmico; sister-in-law Maria DAmico; and many special nieces and nephews. Mariantonia was born May 28, 1912 in Amato, Italy and came to Canada in 1956. Viewing will be held in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. on Thursday, August 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. with Fr. Michael Savarimuthu presiding at the Eucharist. Entombment to follow at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8.
