MARY GRANT (PIZEY) (nee BURNS) On August 27, 2002 at her home in Lions Place, Mary passed away peacefully. Mary was born on May 18, 1913 and resided in Winnipeg all her life. Mary was active in sports, playing tennis, golf, curling, and in her later years, lawn bowling. Mary loved to play cards and was an accomplished Bridge player. She was a member of Victoria Curling Club, Assiniboine Gold Club, and the Thissle Seniors. Mary devoted her time to her family, and once they were grown, travelled extensively. She spent the last eight years of her life in Lions Place and considered it her home and many of the residents as her friends. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Stan Pizey, in 1974; her second husband, Ed Grant, in 1994; her mother and father; two brothers; (George and Bill) sister (Florence) and son-in-law (John Antoski). Marys memory will be fondly cherished by her daughter, Pat Antoski; sons, Gordon (Iris) and Bob (Betty) grandchildren, Scott, Shelagh, Lauryn, and Brendan; great-grandson, Justin; sister Doris Brown; dear friend, Lucille; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. At this time, the family would like to thank the staff of Lions Place, and, in particular, Yvette and Phyllis who were so good to Mom. A remembrance gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium of Lions Place. A private family interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens will precede the memorial. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Lions Club of Winnipeg or to the Childrens Hospital. You will be in our hearts forever. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
