CORNELIUS HARDER 1921 - 2002 Peacefully on August 27, 2002, Cornelius passed away at the Victoria General Hospital with his loving, devoted wife of 52 years and best friend Agatha (nee Thiessen) at his bedside, together with his family. His personal relationship with Jesus Christ and much support from his family enabled Dad to pass away with peace and dignity. Also left to nurture his memory are his seven children, Elaine, Donald (Elsie), Marjorie, Kenneth (Sandra), Marianne, Elmer, and Darlene (Paul) as well as 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. We will attempt to do so with all the dignity and respect with which our father lived his life, each precious moment dedicated to the enrichment of others. Dad was born April 30, 1921 in Lowe Farm to Peter and Anne Harder. He married our mother Agatha Thiessen on September 16, 1950. Dad and Mom lived most of their lives in Morris, later retiring in Winnipeg. Dad loved the outdoors the best, especially being in the sun. They had some good years at the cottage at Winnipeg Beach, until Dads health began to fail. But he was happy sitting in the gazebo at home with Mom. You have fought a good fight. You deserve the rest, Papa. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lowe Farm Bergthaler Mennonite Church, with interment in the Lowe Farm Cemetery. There will be viewing at Morris Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and at the church prior to the service.
