ISABEL BOYES Isabel Fraser was born Saturday, March 16, 1907 at Kamsack, Sk to Peter and Gertrude Fraser. Isabel married Frank Boyes, Sunday, February 14, 1932 at Kelvington, SK. Together they farmed for many years at Kelvington. Upon semi retirement they moved to Windermere, BC which began a series of moves and changes in vocations which ranged from owning and operating summer resorts at Windermere, BC and Parksville, BC, a dairy farm, and a raspberry farm at Rosedale, BC. In the past Isabel was involved in Eastern Star, Womens Institute, and various community organizations. Isabel quietly slipped away Friday, August 23, 2002 at St. Pauls Personal Care Home, The Pas, at the age of 95 years. She is survived by her children, Ruth Hallonquist of Winnipeg, Alastair (Carol) Boyes of Chilliwack, BC, Margaret (Lyle) Watts of The Pas, MB, and Kenneth (Linda) Boyes of Vancouver; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grand-children; sister Gladys Wingert of Victoria, BC; sister-in-law Ellsy Boyes of Saskatoon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Isabel was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1974, after 42 years of marriage; parents, Peter and Gertrude Fraser; brothers, Spencer, Bob, Doug; and sister Elsie Haddon. A service of remembrance was held Monday, August 26, 2:00 p.m. at St. Pauls Personal Care Home Chapel, The Pas, MB, with Rev. Grahme Spear presiding. The Organist was Gladys LaJambe. Following this service a reception was held at St. Pauls Personal Care Home. According to Isabels wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will be held at a later date at Chilliwack, BC, beside her husband Frank. Hemauer Funeral Home, The Pas, in care of arrangements.
