Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBUD (NELSON) BROUGHTON Final farewells were said to Bud (Nelson) Broughton on August 29, 2002 at the Oakview Nursing Home. Peacefully with his sister Dorothy and daughter Donna at his side, he slipped away at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Emily Broughton, son George and sister Frances, he is survived by wife Florence; son Brian (Kathy) daughters, Diane Cassells and Donna Cheung (Alan) brothers, Clarence Broughton (Betty), Cliff Broughton; sisters, Dorothy (Chuck) Dunham and Hazel Morton and special friends, Peter and Rick. Grampa (Mr. Fix-it) will always have a special place in the hearts of his grandchildren, Darryl (Teresa), Timothy (Dayna), Danica Soshycki. Matthew Broughton (Natalie) and three great-grandchildren who will never know the twinkle in those blue eyes. Bud was a long time employee of CN Railway Transcona Shops and Symington Yard and served as a Merchant Marine during the Second World War. At Buds request there will be no funeral services. Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at 1 North Oakview Place, you all were a wonderful extended family for Dad and your caring and compassion will be long remembered.
