THEODOR (TED) MELNYCZUK It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, Tatu and Dido, Theodor Melnyczuk on August 28, 2002. Theodor was born in Utoropy, Ivano Frankivsk in his cherished Ukraine on March 6, 1920. Theodor leaves to mourn his devoted wife Anna; his children, Marika, Ihor (Nina), Virlana (Gino) grandchildren, Olenka, Taras and Aleksa; brothers, Petro and Mychajlo; and a large extended family in Ukraine; as well as countless friends and good neighbours. He was predeceased by his father Fedir and mother Anna; brothers, Yurko, Vasyl, Stepan, Ivan; and sisters, Paraska and Maria. Theodor had a great love for his family, especially for his grandchildren whom he held very close to his heart. Theodors most consuming passion was his love of his homeland Ukraine which was always a topic of conversation with his friends and family. Theodor will be remembered for his pride, dignity, charm, quick wit and keen sense of humour which he displayed even in his brave battle during his final days. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 30 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31 also at the Cathedral, with Rev. N. Yakiwchuk and Rev. I.
