GEORGE JOSEPH WATSON After a lengthy illness on August 28, 2002 at Victoria Hospital, George Watson passed away at the age of 95 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ann on April 14, 1995; son George Jr.; and daughter Linda. George will be lovingly remembered by his children, Bill, Fred (Helen), Roy (Gert), Joe (Marge), Jean (Jerry), Marie (Ron), Emily (Danny), John (Eveline), Gordon, Jerry (Debbie) and Shirley (Keith) 50 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Our father will be remembered by his smile, his sense of humor, and his non-complaining attitude. Dad loved to sing and he had a beautiful voice. He sang to the staff at Lions Manor all the time. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the Lions Manor as well as the 5th Floor nursing unit at the Victoria Hospital. The care and comfort you showed George will not be forgotten. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georges memory to The Lions Manor, 320 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2W6.
